http://soccernet.espn.go.com/index
-ESPN’s official ‘soccer’ site. It has an excellent section for following live scores in the different tiers in all leagues.
-English site covering the Premiership and Football League. Check out the featured ‘Physio Room’ where you can track injuries and recovery time in the Prem.
http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer
-MSN/Fox Sports’ official ‘soccer’ site.
http://www.setanta.com/uk/News/Football/
-Setanta Sports’ site; provides solid coverage of English and European football. It also offers a regional variation for the United States, for your perusal.

-Pretty straightforward coverage of primarily the British football leagues from the Beeb.
http://www.skysports.com/football/
-Sky Sports’ site offers comparable coverage to BBC.
-A branch of the 365 Media Group, this site offers news headlines and blogs, but it’s the statistics section that earns it a place on this list.
-Major League Soccer’s official website.
http://english.gazzetta.it/Football/
-The English version of La Gazzetta dello Sport, a leading Italian site offering coverage of primarily Serie A and Serie B.
-Not actually news site as much as a blog, but certainly worthy of its place on this list. Guillem Balague is a renowned Spanish journalist; his access to high profile players and clubs in both Spain and England has afforded him an opportunity to gain uniqe insight into the inner workings of the football world. His site offers revealing interviews and is rife with particularly interesting rumors. While some debate his success rate in predicting transfers, he’s certainly as much of an authority as a football journalist can be. I highly recommend visiting this site.
-An online TV Guide of televised football; you might need to register to adjust your time zone settings.

-Want to get your news from the horse’s mouth? Use these two new sites to track official blogs, tweets, and first person communications from footballers themselves. The latter is a Wikipedia-type database that neatly categorizes each athlete’s means of online communication, and the former is the accompanying blog that brings you a “best of.” At the moment its focus is on American leagues (check it out for other sports, you won’t be disappointed), but expect it to expand as its popularity booms. I helped with the start up of this project- it’s going places boys and girls.
